Privacy Attorney - Mid Level Associate

We are seeking to hire a mid-level Associate with approximately 4?6 years of experience in privacy and cybersecurity law to join our team in the San Diego (Downtown) office. This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative and growing team at an AmLaw 200 firm, working with a wide range of mid-sized business clients across industries that process consumer data.

The ideal candidate will have experience advising clients on compliance with California privacy and cybersecurity laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as well as drafting and updating online privacy policies. Litigation experience?especially involving privacy class actions (such as CIPA claims), general commercial disputes, and federal or state court appearances?is highly preferred. Candidates should be comfortable handling routine motion and discovery practice.

Candidates must be admitted to the California bar and have excellent academic credentials. IAPP privacy certification is preferred. A demonstrated interest in privacy and cybersecurity law, strong organizational skills, and a collaborative work style are key to success in this role. Writing samples should include motions or similar litigation documents. Typical salary range is from $175,000 to $215,000 depending on experience.
