Job Description

Join our Global Specialty Recruiting (GSR) team, where we find the best minds in tech, science, and leadership for Amazon's most challenging roles. We're not your typical recruiting team. Instead, we focus on finding rare talent for complex positions - from engineering to scientific research and executive leadership.

Our diverse team brings together skilled recruiters, talent researchers, and coordinators. We also have experts in program management, business analysis, and operations support. Together, we drive the systems, policies, and practices that help Amazon build world-class teams.

Working closely with Amazon's senior leadership and key partners in HR, Legal, Finance, and Security, we shape the future of talent acquisition. If you enjoy solving complex problems and connecting exceptional people with career-defining opportunities, you'll thrive here.

What sets our Global Specialty Recruiting team apart is our deep technical expertise and worldwide reach. Our recruiters are deeply connected within the software engineering community, particularly among Principal, Senior Principal, and Distinguished Engineers. We use advanced sourcing strategies and industry relationships to find exceptional technical leaders. Instead of simply matching requirements, we partner with hiring managers to understand their team dynamics and technical challenges, ensuring we find candidates who will drive innovation and success.

As a Principal Recruiter, you'll lead recruitment for these senior technical roles. You'll work with

recruiting tools and collaborate with talented teammates who share your drive for excellence. Your strategic insight will help shape how we attract and secure top engineering talent.

If you're passionate about connecting with world-class engineers and technical leaders, and want to impact how Amazon builds its next generation of engineering leadership, this role offers unmatched opportunity. You'll be at the center of identifying and attracting the technical visionaries who shape Amazon's future.

This role offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to directly impact Amazon's technological leadership through strategic talent acquisition. You'll work at the forefront of tech recruiting, shaping the future of one of the world's most innovative companies.

Collaborate with research teams to identify emerging talent pools and pioneer new approaches to candidate engagement and assessment.

Lead client update meetings with executives, clearly communicating progress and strategizing on complex hiring challenges.

Conduct in-depth evaluations of senior candidates, including exploratory calls, interviews, and 360-degree reference checks.

Drive continuous improvement in Amazon's technical recruiting practices by sharing insights, writing influential documents, and implementing innovative solutions.

Demonstrate thought leadership by contributing to the company's knowledge base on industry trends, talent landscapes, and effective hiring strategies.

Coach hiring managers and leaders to enhance their talent acquisition capabilities, particularly for senior and executive-level roles.

Quickly adapt to and become proficient in new technological domains to effectively assess and attract specialized engineering talent.

Tackle complex recruiting challenges with creativity and persistence, finding solutions when traditional methods fall short.
