Pre-Analytical Services Associate

The Specimen Receipt and Processing Associate is responsible for assisting with a variety of routine activities associated with receipt of clinical specimens.

What you'll be doing:

Assist with receipt of consignments and shipments

Open shipments and quality check patient info forms, escalating incorrect, missing information, or damaged shipments to senior level staff

Ensure correct disposal and/or recycling of kit shipping supplies

Conduct a secondary check of shipping materials to ensure specimens are not left in kit packaging

Support and respond to after-hour alarms and/or other job critical functions

Assist in maintenance of equipment

Assist with supply inventory functions and general clean-up of workstations

Perform various administrative duties as required

What we are looking for:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Basic computer skills

Ability to maintain effective reporting procedures and control workflow

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients

Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree

The knowledge, skills and abilities needed for this role:

Strong attention to detail

Good communication skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Familiarity with laboratory procedures and protocols

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $33,600.00 - $56,000.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
