The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications. A degree and background in mechanical engineering is required. Candidate Qualifications: 1-3 years of patent prosecution experience required Strong background in drafting and prosecuting patent applications Mechanical engineering degree required Registered and in good standing with the USPTO Admitted to practice in Indiana or eligible for admission to the state bar Preferred Experience: Managing patent portfolios Preparing patent opinion letters Advising on non-infringement and invalidity issues Conducting patent due diligence for corporate transactions and M&A matters About the Firm: Barnes & Thornburg LLP is an AmLaw 100 firm with 23 offices nationwide.
