Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized
Key Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation, including case intake, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation
Draft, proofread, and format legal documents such as pleadings, subpoenas, discovery requests/responses, and correspondence
Manage case files and maintain organized electronic and physical records
Coordinate and manage document production, including e-discovery platforms and databases
Conduct factual and legal research under attorney supervision
Prepare deposition summaries, chronologies, and trial binders
File documents with state and federal courts, including e-filing
Track deadlines and manage litigation calendars
Communicate with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel professionally and effectively
Support attorneys during hearings, depositions, and trials as needed
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
A minimum of ten (10) years of paralegal experience in business litigation in a law firm environment
One of the following is strongly preferred: (1) Bachelor's degree; (2) Paralegal certificate or Associate?s degree in Paralegal Studies; or (3) Certified Legal Assistant (CLA) designation
Experience with complex case management and high-volume document review, Intellectual Property Litigation is a bonus but not required
Familiarity with trial preparation and courtroom procedures
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and litigation support software
Strong understanding of court rules and procedures (state and federal)
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality
Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Availability to work additional hours during time-sensitive phases of litigation
