Job Description


We are seeking highly skilled and experienced OSP Engineers with proven AutoCAD , GIS or similar tools experience to join our team.

As an OSP Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the outside plant network infrastructure for fiber optic networks. This includes planning and designing fiber optic networks, conducting surveys of existing infrastructure, coordinating with internal teams and external contractors, testing and troubleshooting network issues, and maintaining accurate records of network infrastructure and equipment.

Responsibilities :

  • Plan and design fiber optic networks, including the selection of appropriate cable types, sizes, and routing;
  • Design and develop OSP network layouts for fiber optic cabling systems;
  • Determine the best pathway for cable placement and inform the designer of any roadblocks while identifying other utilities that may be in conflict;
  • Conduct surveys of existing infrastructure to identify the best locations for new cables & equipment and to ensure the overall success of the fiber optic network;
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure the timely installation and maintenance of fiber optic infrastructure;
  • Test and troubleshoot fiber optic network issues, and resolve any problems in a timely manner;
  • Maintain accurate records of network infrastructure and equipment.

Requirements

  • Proven knowledge of FTTH, FTTP architecture, components, best practices and design of fiber optic network systems;
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in designing and implementing fiber optic networks;
  • Proven knowledge of Comsof, IQGeo, AutoDesign, ARMIS, ArcGIS, QGIS, AutoCAD, and other engineering-related software;
  • Knowledge of industry NESC, NEC standards, and regulations related to fiber optic networks.
