Job Description

Utilities One is looking for a qualified OSP Engineering Manager .

In this role, you'll focus on building a strong team, mentoring the onshore engineering group, and collaborating closely with the offshore engineering team to drive success.

Responsibilities:

Recruit, manage, and grow the onshore engineering team;
Manage/coordinate the relationship with our Engineering strategic partners;
Serve as the primary contact for our clients/customers;
Lead the transition/implementation of our engineering model from strategic partnership to self-perform (develop the plan);
Manage the engineering work performed by our Vendors;
Manage the engineering team while they create fiber engineering designs;
Utilize sound judgment in appropriate engineering techniques to meet client expectations.

Requirements

A minimum of 7 years of experience in Telecommunications Design, including permitting processes.
A minimum of 3 years of Engineering Management/Supervision experience;
A minimum of 2 years of experience working in Bentley/ Lumen NDS and fiber optic design;
A minimum of 3 years of Drafting experience;
Proven knowledge of AutoDesign, IQGeo, Comsof, ARMIS, ArcGIS, QGIS, AutoCAD, and other engineering-related software;
Understanding and application of standard engineering or scientific theories, concepts, principles, and techniques;
Proficient in applying standard engineering or scientific principles while effectively managing multiple projects, clients, and markets, ensuring clear communication and prompt responses to customer requests;
Minimum travel requirements (<10%).
