One of our companies is currently looking for an Optimization Scientist in the United States .

We are seeking a highly analytical Optimization Scientist to drive innovation at the intersection of artificial intelligence, national defense, and commercial operations. This role focuses on developing advanced mathematical models and applying cutting-edge optimization techniques to solve complex, real-world problems. You will collaborate closely with engineers, analysts, and domain experts, playing a hands-on role in building solutions that directly impact strategic outcomes. This is a fast-paced, flat team environment ideal for someone who thrives on autonomy, intellectual challenge, and purpose-driven work.

Accountabilities:

• Formulate and solve complex optimization problems, including mixed integer linear and non-linear models.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative solutions in defense and commercial sectors.
• Conduct statistical and data-driven analyses to uncover insights and inform model development.
• Leverage programming expertise in Python or R to create scalable analytical tools and workflows.
• Present findings and strategic recommendations directly to stakeholders and leadership.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in optimization, AI, and data science methodologies.
• Contribute to the technical direction and evolution of the analytics team.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in Operations Research, Mathematics, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience solving complex analytical problems using optimization and data science.
• Proficiency in Python or R, including libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and SQL.
• Deep understanding of linear, mixed-integer, and non-linear programming.
• Experience applying statistical methods and machine learning techniques in practical settings.
• U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain or hold a Secret Security Clearance.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment.
• Preferred: 10+ years of analytical experience, experience in transportation/mobility modeling, and hands-on AI/ML implementation.
