About the Job

Loan Closers have two major objectives to achieve: 1.) consistent, superior service at the point in the transaction that may often be the most stressful for the customer and which is the final impression of the company left with them; and 2.) to ensure that closings are accurate, complete and result in an immediately saleable loan.

This role is located at our Schaumburg office with the opportunity to work from home on Mondays & Fridays.

• Verify all data for accuracy
• Verify property information for accuracy
• Verify lock information for accuracy
• Review and compare last disclosed Loan Estimate (LE) to Closing Disclosure (CD) to determine if valid change of circumstance has occurred and if change of circumstance document is to be provided
• Prepare & provide the initial CD to the customer
• Communicate with Loan Officer regarding CD, delivery and signature requirements, final CD notification, etc.
• Prepare accurate closing documents for loan files in accordance with investor guidelines and loan type
• Verify all closing conditions are met
• Verify receipt of key documents required to issue funding control numbers (FCN)
• Follow up with title company for receipt of closed loan files
• Assist with post closing deficiencies

Requirements

• Familiarity with industry quality control standards and fraud detection method
• Experience with POS approval processes and knowledge of LP, DO/DU and other AUS
• Proficient computer skills including Google Suite, Microsoft Word and Excel
• Encompass experience preferred
• Excellent people skills, patience, customer service and ability to work in high-paced environment
• Likes multi-tasking
• Superior attention to detail
• Proficient knowledge of technology including office equipment (printers, scanners, etc)
• Minimum 1 years loan closing experience including conforming conventional, FHA, VA and IHDA Loans
