Midlevel Associate

Linklaters LLP seeks Mid-Level Associate, Corporate in New York, NY to directly conduct, as well as supervise research, due diligence, and information management. Draft and review documentation and advise on precedents and market standards. Debrief at the end of a matter or at other appropriate stages. Assist senior associates and partners in formulating legal strategy based on research of law and analysis of facts affecting client matters in cross-border corporate transactions, including public and private mergers and acquisitions, divestures, restructurings, and de-SPAC transactions, as well as on corporate governance, and securities law matters. Apply knowledge of the law to the analysis of the legal ramifications of transactions, and the required structuring of affairs to assure the most favorable terms and successful implementation for our clients. Meet with clients to gain a thorough understanding of their cases and advise on changes in laws and compliance under the supervision of a senior attorney. Collaborate with junior associates to delegate and manage tasks effectively. Requirements: JD or foreign equivalent and three (3) years of experience at an international law firm: working on corporate legal transactions, incorporating documentation and other legal documents related to corporate transactional law researching, analyzing, reviewing and drafting memoranda, contracts and other agreements and legal documents relating to corporate transactions, related to private equity and public M&A; implementing project management strategies to organize outstanding items and manage different workflows; applying legal analysis to identify legal issues and providing solutions; directly advising corporate clients on applicable laws and regulations related to legal and regulatory compliance as they apply to business transactions; and managing complex legal transactions with multi-party representation and negotiating terms on behalf of clients. Must be admitted to the practice of law in New York. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies. When not telecommuting, must report to work site. The base salary range offered for this role will be between $260,000 and $365,000 per year, 40 hours per week and represents the firm?s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate?s relevant experience, performance, qualifications, as well as the needs of the firm.
