Job Responsibilities:

_Field Investigations & Remediation_

  • Coordinate and execute environmental field investigations, including soil, groundwater, surface water, and drinking water sampling.
  • Provide on'site oversight of drilling activities, including soil and rock coring, monitoring well installation, well development, and abandonment.
  • Perform detailed geologic logging of soil, sediment, and bedrock in accordance with industry and regulatory standards.
  • Support and oversee remedial system installation, operation, maintenance, and injections, including in'situ and ex-situ treatment applications.
  • Conduct site assessments, remedial investigations, and compliance monitoring for regulated environmental sites.

_Regulatory Compliance & Health and Safety_

  • Lead preparation and implementation of Health and Safety Plans (HASPs) and conduct daily tailgate safety meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, HAZWOPER, and site'specific safety requirements.
  • Execute field activities in accordance with state and federal regulatory programs and approved work plans.

_Sampling, Equipment, and Data Collection_

  • Perform water quality testing and field measurements using calibrated instrumentation.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot field equipment, including peristaltic pumps, bladder pumps, submersible pumps, water quality meters, PIDs, and GPS units.
  • Calibrate instruments and maintain accurate field records, calibration logs, and chain?of?custody documentation.
  • Collect, preserve, and manage environmental samples for laboratory analysis.

_Data Analysis & Reporting_

  • Review, validate, and interpret analytical laboratory data for quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Summarize and interpret environmental data using maps, figures, and geologic cross'sections.
  • Identify trends in field and analytical data to support conceptual site models and remedial decision?making.
  • Prepare and contribute to technical reports, regulatory submittals, and compliance documentation.

_Project & Subcontractor Coordination_

  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, including drillers, laboratories, remediation contractors, waste disposal vendors, and material suppliers.
  • Support project planning, scheduling, and execution within a team?based environment.

Required Skills/Experience:

+ Bachelor's Degree in either:

  • Geology or Environmental Engineering
  • 5+ years of professional experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Positive attitude
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Knowledge of regulatory programs (CERCLA, RCRA, NC 2L GWQS)
  • Strong work ethic and a desire for continual self-improvement
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Willingness and ability to perform outdoor field work and travel; and
  • Ability to lift 60 pounds and be physically able to navigate construction sites, enter trenches, climb ladders, and work outside.

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • Prior professional work in a related field ( _i.e._ water sampling, drilling, field documentation, laboratory analysis, remediation, _etc._ )
  • Experience using Excel, EQuIS, ArcGIS, giNT

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to pass a background check which may include criminal history, motor vehicle record, and credit check
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment screening

The compensation range for this position is between $73,000 to $110,000.Compensation for this position may vary based on geographic location and other factors. We remain committed to providing competitive and equitable compensation to all employees, regardless of their location.
