Job Description


We are currently seeking a skilled Microwave Test Technician to join our team. As a Microwave Test Technician, you will test and troubleshoot RF microwave components and systems.

Responsibilities
  • Test and Tune operations.
  • Review test plans and procedures to accurately assess microwave product performance.
  • Perform Final Tests on sealed assemblies.
  • Ensuring all tests and procedures meet company and industry standards.
  • Writing up final test reports for presentation to customers and management.
  • Provide status to manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams.
  • Provide feedback on issues found at the test to the assembly teams.
  • Troubleshooting of microwave assemblies by utilizing circuit diagrams as part of circuit analysis to resolve complex electronic circuit problems.
  • Assist in Failure Analysis and Corrective Action and tracking to root cause.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Requirements

Skills:

  • Good troubleshooting skills with complex microwave assemblies
  • An understanding of test plans and operating procedures
  • Computer literate in Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Must be attentive to details.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with team members and customers.
  • Good communication skills, both oral and in written form

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • A general understanding of RF theory, such as S-parameters, noise figure, gain, 1dB compression, harmonics, and inter-modulation distortion measurement.
  • Ability to measure and calculate insertion loss and VSWR of a microwave device.
  • Ability to use high-frequency electronic instruments, such as oscillators, audio oscillators, standing wave amplifiers, multi meters, phase-sensitive de-modulators, volt-ohm meters, logic and network analyzers, AF and RF signal generators, and wave meters.
  • Certification in IPC-610
  • 3 years of experience in the assembly of electronic sub-assemblies
