Carlton Fields is seeking an associate with two to four years of litigation experience in medical malpractice defense. Must have relevant complex civil litigation experience, including managing discovery, reviewing medical records, and researching medical literature. Risk management experience and prior experience working with hospitals, physicians, long term care facilities, or managed care plans are a plus. Excellent academic credentials and demonstrated writing and advocacy skills are required. The ideal candidate will be admitted to practice in Florida (and the firm is willing to consider strong candidates seeking to relocate to Tampa), have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team, while being able to work individually, on client matters in an environment where drive and client service are valued.
