Job Description
Direct Counsel has partnered with a busy and well-respected Personal Injury Law Firm located in Century City who is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal. This firm is committed to providing exceptional legal representation to their clients. Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of experience in Personal Injury Litigation.
Responsibilities:
Assist trial team throughout the entire litigation process, from filing of complaint through trial.
Manage extensive discovery process, including propounding and responding to discovery requests.
Draft various legal documents, including Motions, Oppositions, Replies, pleadings, declarations, and exhibit lists.
Maintain calendar and deadlines, including noticing Depositions and other Hearings.
Coordinate CourtCall and Appearance Attorneys for court appearances.
Organize and prepare documents for filing.
Prepare correspondence and communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
Undertake special projects as needed to support the litigation team.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal.
Proficiency in drafting legal documents and managing discovery processes.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Fluency in Spanish is highly desirable.
Thorough understanding of Personal Injury law, including pre-litigation and litigation phases.
