Job Description
Our client in the food and dairy manufacturing industry is seeking a Line Packer for the 2nd shift to join their team. As a Line Packer, you will be part of the Production department supporting the Machine Operator, Area Leader, Production Supervisor, and/or Plant Manager. The ideal candidate will have good hand and manual dexterity, be a quick learner, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This is a temporary opportunity.
Job Title: Line Packer
Location: Shirley, NY
Pay Range:
$16.50 - $17.00 per hour
Schedule : Monday - Friday, 2pm - 10pm (2nd shift)
What's the Job?
Perform various general plant tasks such as packaging, feeding product to the line and/or packaging, making boxes, applying tamper seals, closing lids, etc. to ensure good quality product is produced at all times.
Perform any task associated with the assembly or packaging of the product.
Act as a back-up Machine Operator for coverage purposes from time to time.
Practice and adhere to Food Safety, GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices), and Health and Safety policy at all times.
What's Needed?
2+ years of manufacturing experience.
Ability to speak, read, write and basic comprehension of English.
Coordination and multi-task skills.
Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 20 lb. manually move freight, stock, or other materials or perform other unskilled general labor.
