Investment Funds, Regulatory Associate

The Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP is seeking an experienced associate with outstanding credentials and qualifications to join the market-leading regulatory practice of our Investment Funds Group. Our funds regulatory practice offers a dynamic experience ranging from assisting fund sponsors with fundraising and transactions to navigating SEC examination and enforcement matters. The ideal candidate will have 3 ? 5 1-3 years of Investment Management experience. investment funds-related regulatory experience at a global law firm, including: reviewing offering materials and fund governing documents; advising clients on compliance with applicable rules and regulations; preparing SEC filings; and responding to examinations. Strong familiarity with the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, 1940 required; familiarity with the Investment Company Act of 1940 and Securities Act of 1933 required. Prior experience must include advising fund sponsors on the formation and operation of investment funds.preferred. Candidates must be admitted to practice in Illinois. Kirkland & Ellis LLP offers a competitive salary structure as well as a robust offering of benefits to all of its employees and attorneys. Compensation is based upon the roles and responsibilities of the position, the experience and education of the applicant and/or employee and is aligned with internal pay equity within Kirkland & Ellis LLP itself. The hiring salary range for this position is between $260,000 $225,000 and $365,000.$260,000. These figures are not representative of the full compensation range for this position.
