Installer - Vinyl Flooring

A leading manufacturer of specialty vehicles for the fire & emergency, and recreation has an immediate need for a Vinyl Flooring Installer. This position will install vinyl flooring in ambulances, ensuring high-quality results while adhering to safety and production standards

Job Title: Installer - Vinyl Floor

Location: Winter Park, FL

Pay: $17.00/hr

What?s the Job?

Install vinyl flooring and related components in ambulances, including cutting, fitting, and sealing.

Prepare surfaces for vinyl installation, ensuring proper cleaning, leveling, and priming as needed.

Measure and cut vinyl flooring accurately to fit complex vehicle layouts.

Installation of all non-electrical interior/exterior components and hardware.

Maintain and clean tools and equipment used in vinyl floor installation.

Work with production and engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve installation challenges.

Document installation processes and report any material or equipment issues.

Assist in inventory management, including tracking vinyl materials and adhesives.

Understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English.

What?s Needed?

HS Diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred

Ability to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions, short correspondence and memos in English.

Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and layout and other written or verbal instructions presented in English.

Ability to read and use linear and other measuring devices.

Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards.

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.

Fundamental use of various pneumatic and power tools.

Familiar with the safe operation of various tools: including but not limited to drills, screw gun.

Ability to use basic mathematics.
