Health Care Associate

Carlton Fields is seeking an associate with at least three years of health care experience (whether in-house, government, or law firm) who has a strong interest and aptitude in regulatory and compliance issues for our Tampa office. Must have relevant health care regulatory and/or corporate work experience, including but not limited to: prior experience representing hospitals; familiarity with HIPAA and the HITECH Act, Medicare and Medicaid; familiarity with federal and local health care regulatory and compliance issues, including Stark, the Anti-Kickback Statute, and the Affordable Care Act; familiarity with licensure and reimbursement matters. Excellent academic credentials and demonstrated writing skills are required. The ideal candidate will be admitted to practice in Florida, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team, while being able to work independently, on client matters in an environment where drive and client service are valued.
