About the role

As quantum computing enters a new phasethe 'QEC era' marked by significant advancements in quantum error correction, it presents new technical challenges and a growing need to train and upskill Riverlane's customers, enabling them to expedite their journey to running successful QEC experiments.

To this end, we have created an incredibly exciting opportunity for a Global Lead, QEC Customer Training to help us achieve our vision. In this position, you will be instrumental in supporting each customer on their journey to exploring QEC through an effective training program that accounts for the varied needs of customers, based on their differing levels of readiness toward QEC today.

What you will do

As Global Lead, QEC Customer Training, you will own and deliver the technical program management and event coordination required to effectively upskill Riverlane customers and Deltaflow users. Using your proven experience in quantum-software related customer training and community-building, you will deliver and manage in-person, virtual and hybrid training programs geared toward enabling Riverlane's customers to achieve their first QEC results, using Riverlane hardware and software.

In this role, you will:

  • Train customers on Riverlane's open-source SDK and developer API software tools for QEC experiment workflows and decoders.
  • Engage customers with Riverlane's business development team to identify the various levels of QEC readiness in training engagements and develop/execute a scalable upskilling and training strategy to support each of them.
  • Work with stakeholders across Riverlane to create digital educational content that can scale beyond in-person training.
  • Deliver customer training offerings as part of new Deltaflow integration partnerships.
  • Support open-source community efforts, including effective community management and structuring hackathons, with a learning development mindset.
  • Champion a culture where Riverlane shares the QEC success stories of customers to benefit the wider QEC community.

Requirements

What we need

  • Proven ability to deliver high quality and high impact quantum computing training programs, such as hackathons, online courses and mentorship programs.
  • Strong track record of working collaboratively with research and product development teams to enable customers and partners.
  • Experience in customer training and community-building around one or more quantum software project such as Stim, Cirq, Qiskit, and/or QASM.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability in building developer engagement missions and ambition to enable the QEC user community with useful tools and learning resources.
  • Ability to ensure compliance with all export and business controls, data privacy, and best practices for working with global customers at government owned entities.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to discuss complex ideas with a variety of audiences, in a clear and simple way.
  • A passion for learning and a curious mindset.
