Firewatch/General Labor

Craft and Technical Solutions is an established Marine and Industrial Staffing Company with offices all over the country. We partner with businesses as well as jobseekers to place individuals into positions efficiently. We are currently in need of a Firewatchers to join our team in Bremerton, WA.

Skills :

• Observe ongoing hot work activities to ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Inspect the work area for flammable materials and ensure they are removed or properly protected.
• Verify that fire suppression equipment (extinguishers, hoses, etc.) is present and in working condition before work begins.
• Be prepared to extinguish small fires using fire extinguishers or other available equipment.
• Alert workers and initiate an evacuation if a fire or other hazardous condition arises.
• Keep accurate records of hot work permits, daily logs, and any incidents or near-misses.
• Report unsafe practices or conditions to supervisors and safety officers immediately.
• Ensure that all hot work activities comply with OSHA standards and company-specific safety protocols.
• Attend safety meetings and training sessions to stay informed about the latest fire prevention techniques and regulations.

Requirements

Job Requirements :

• High school diploma or the equivalent preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to stay calm and act quickly in emergency situations.
• Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Physically fit to handle fire suppression equipment.
• Willing to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and fire-resistant clothing.
• Pass a 10-Panel drug screen.
