Facilities Maintenance Technician IV

Our client, a leading manufacturer, is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician IV to join their team. As a Facilities Maintenance Technician IV, you will be part of the operations team supporting the Central Utility Plant. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to maintenance which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician IV

Location: San Jose, CA

Pay Range:

$36.00+ DOE

Schedule:

5:45pm to 6:15am every Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and every other Saturday.

What's the Job?

Perform building operations, preventive maintenance, and basic equipment repairs on Central Utility Plant equipment such as boilers, chillers, and air compressors.

Monitor systems and respond to calls from business units, dispatching maintenance personnel as necessary.

Conduct basic repairs and installations of piping systems including welding, soldering, and gluing various types of pipes.

Inspect major site systems, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.

Participate in building automation monitoring and alarm response to ensure optimal operations.

What's Needed?

Experience in utility plant maintenance, specifically with boilers, chillers, and compressors.

Knowledge of industrial machinery, chilled water systems, and HVAC operations.

Ability to perform corrective maintenance and basic troubleshooting.

Proficiency in piping techniques including TIG welding, PVC, and soldering.

Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
