Job Title: Construction Estimator (Junior to Senior Level Heavy Civil)
Location: Hunts Point, New York
Salary: $80,000 $220,000 (commensurate with experience; junior to senior-level candidates welcome)

About Us:
Triumph Construction is a premier heavy civil construction company in New York City, specializing in roadway reconstruction, water and sewer mains, site development, concrete structures, and excavation. We're expanding our estimating team and hiring both junior and senior-level Estimators to support large-scale infrastructure bids across the five boroughs.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed and competitive cost estimates for public and private civil construction projects.
• Interpret project plans, specifications, and contract documents to determine scope and pricing.
• Perform quantity take-offs and build pricing models for labor, materials, and equipment.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
• Attend site visits and pre-bid meetings to assess project logistics and conditions.
• Analyze risks, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support value engineering.
• Participate in proposal development and client presentations.

Qualifications:

• 2 to 15+ years of experience as an estimator in heavy civil construction (junior to senior level).
• Strong knowledge of roadway reconstruction, underground utilities (water/sewer), excavation, and concrete structures.
• Experience with NYC agency projects (NYCDDC, NYCDOT, NYCDEP) highly preferred.
• Proficient in estimating software such as HCSS HeavyBid, Bluebeam, or similar platforms.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and negotiation skills.
• Deep understanding of construction means and methods, labor productivity, and material costs.
