Estimator - Fire Life Safety

• Create accurate material and labor cost estimates for fire alarm, access control, video surveillance systems, and other specialty systems.

• Prepare scope of work proposals, effectively articulating the specifications to prospective clients.

• Manage a bid calendar and estimate folders.

• Evaluate material, labor, and subcontractor costs in accordance with project plans and specifications adhering to industry standards and best practices.

• Proactively qualify new opportunities.

• System layout and design according to project bid documents, as well as industry and code requirements.

• Collaborate closely with sales and operation teams to validate estimates and ensure accuracy.

• Participate in sales meetings and training seminars.

Requirements

• A strong attention to detail, ensuring the precision and reliability of estimates and proposals.

• Proficiency in MS Excel and other relevant software tools, leveraging technology to streamline technical takeoff processes and enhance productivity.

• Possess excellent analytical skills, enabling you to interpret complex data sets and derive actionable insights.

• Exhibit effective communication skills, fostering collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors, and customers.

• Ability to collaborate seamlessly with Sales Executives, providing technical expertise and support to drive successful sales outcomes.

• Previous experience in the building automation or electrical sector is preferred, reflecting a deep understanding of industry dynamics and requirements.

Salary Range: $80k-$100k DOE.
