Engineering Manager, Transportation

We're seeking a Transportation, Engineering Manager for our Santa Rosa office!
BKF Engineers is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead design efforts for transportation and roadway projects in our Santa Rosa office. This role focuses on delivering key projects with Sonoma County and Ukiah, while managing technical execution, mentoring staff, and ensuring high-quality project outcomes. The ideal candidate brings strong technical abilities, leadership skills, and a commitment to excellence in transportation engineering to our team! Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Project Management Assistance: Budgeting, Schedules, Client Care, Invoicing
• Design Team Management, collaboration, and scheduling
• Entitlement Application and Processing
• Roadway/Streets final design packagePlan, Profile, Cross Sections
• Roadway Design: Streetscape, Green Streets, Bicycle Path Plans
• Federal, State, City, and County Standards
• Report Preparation and Master Planning Studies, preparation of specifications and cost estimates
• Quality Control for Project Deliverables

Requirements

• 9+ yearsof experience in transportation development, design of residential and/or commercial subdivisions, utility systems, and roadways
• B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET Accredited Curriculum or equivalent required
• Professional Engineering license in the State of California is required
• AutoCAD and Civil 3D mastery is required

Benefits

• Typical base salary range for this position is $113,000.00 - $160,000.00 annualized depending upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location. This is an hourly position paid biweekly.
