Your Career

The IT team is looking for a seasoned engineering manager with previous team management experience, and a unique blend of technical leadership, people leadership, and business skill sets.

The incumbent will collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Customer Support, and other cross-functional

teams to deliver strategic organizational priorities. In addition to managing a team, the successful candidate will also be an active contributor in areas of product design, architecture and/or implementation. This role would be perfect for someone who enjoys a management role while also wanting to utilize their technical software engineering skills.

Your Impact

Manage, lead, mentor, and coach one or more engineering teams

Be accountable for the engineering quality of the subject matter areas your teams are responsible for

Work closely with product managers to refine business requirements in alignment with good design principles

Work closely with team leads and architects to create good engineering designs that meet business requirements and align with good architectural practices

Ability to translate technology into business value

Working in conjunction with management and colleagues, define, document, and demonstrate good software engineering practices

Stay up-to-date on new technology changes and

features to provide recommendations for process improvements and feature adoption

Facilitate project delivery from your teams, working in conjunction with product managers, business analysts, business partners, and system administrators

Plan, drive and execute business critical custom apps and microservices Roadmap

+ Facilitate production support affecting the system areas your teams are responsible for

Identify risks and prepare mitigation plans

Your Experience

+ BE/B.tech technical degree or relevant tech qualification or equivalent military experience required

10+ years total experience in software development with programming languages experience in JAVA /J2EE

Extensive Experience working with Spring boot Microservices - (You will have to take coding and design tests)

Experience with Database Management Systems (MySQL, SQL server and PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Oracle Database)

Minimum 2 years of team management experience as manager capacity - Techno functional management, team management, people management

Good hands on Expertise in Cloud Platforms, GCP OR AWS OR Azure

Demonstrated ability to lead engineers to deliver working software on time and with high quality

Demonstrated understanding of good software engineering practices

Excellent engineering skills on the platform(s) your teams work on

Strong time management and team management skills

Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills - Strong architectural skills on the platform(s) your teams work on is a strong advantage

Knowledge of front end technologies like React and Angular is a plus

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
