Engineering Designer / Drafter

We are looking for an Engineering Designer to join our Idaho Falls team! You will be asked to prepare working plans, detailed drawings, and complete electrical drawings of moderately complex components and assemblies from documentation, notes, verbal instructions, cut sheets, and/or rough or detailed engineering sketches using computerized equipment (e.g., CAD/CAM).

Your Challenge:

Develops and modifies complete layout and engineering drawings of a variety of components and assemblies such as panel drawings, schematics, interconnect lists, parts breakdown, cable lists, BOMs, etc., from notes, cut sheets, rough sketches or general instructions of engineers and designers using CAD hardware and software.

Utilize AutoCAD and/or Microsoft Visio for creation of assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, logic and networking diagrams and PIDs.

Contributes design modifications to improve quality of product or manufacturing operation.

Support Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing and other groups within the company to facilitate product definition, manufacturing and product quality.

Check drawings, models, attributes and BOMs for accuracy, correctness, and conformance to internal, quality, and industry standards.

What You Bring:

4 + years of drafting experience

Technical / Trade School Preferred

High school diploma or equivalent

Working knowledge of electrical systems design.

Experience with CAD, especially AutoCAD, is preferred.

Industrial control systems design experience is a plus

Working within a quality assurance program is a plus
