Job Description

Cooley LLP has an opportunity available in our Employment & Labor practice group. Our ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of broad experience and sophistication in employment law, with an interest in advising venture capital and other investment firms on industry-specific employment issues. We are looking for candidates who are familiar with the venture capital ecosystem and interested in collaborating with our fund formation practice to advise fund clients on employment-related matters. While employment counseling and agreement drafting experience is key, some litigation experience is a plus. Fund formation associates interested in transitioning their focus to employment and labor matters are also encouraged to apply. Qualified candidates should also have strong academic credentials, exceptional communication and legal writing skills, a high level of motivation and initiative, and a strong work ethic. EOE.

The expected annual pay range for this position is $260,000 - $390,000. Please note that final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience and skillset of the candidate.
