Electronic Security Project Manager

We are seeking an Electronic Security Project Manager with a strong focus and background in municipal and correctional projects to work in our Rochester, NY office. This position will work closely with engineering staff and clients to develop designs, drawings, specifications, and reports for electronic security projects from conception to construction. Electronic security systems include Access Control, Intrusion and Perimeter Detection, CCTV, Duress systems, and Integration of multiple systems.

Individual must be able to work independently, as well as part of multi-discipline teams producing construction documents for physical and electronic security systems.

Duties

• Function as a Design Lead and Project Manager for electronic security projects, through all phases (proposal, design, bidding, and construction).
• Perform field investigations to document existing conditions.
• Work with other engineers as part of a project team to develop concepts, strategies, designs, drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Mark-up and review security system drawings and details using AutoCAD and Bluebeam.
• Write project specifications for security projects.
• Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner with co-workers, staff, project managers, other disciplines, and all other employees.
• Expected to improve current knowledge of technologies and trends, as they apply to the applicable project and market types, and continually strengthens skills.

Requirements

• Project Management experience with experience managing a team.
• A deep understanding of Access Control, Intrusion Detection, Perimeter Security, and CCTV systems.
• Experience developing point to point diagrams and shop drawings for integrated security systems.
• Ability to work on several projects simultaneously.
• Strong writing, organizational and communications skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Bluebeam Revu.
• A certificate or degree in Project Management, Access Control, Intrusion Detection, CCTV, or related field is a plus.
• Familiarity with JVSG, Axis Site Designer, or Avigilon System Design Tool is a plus.
• Business Development experience is a plus.
• Clean criminal record with ability to enter and work within NYS DOCCS facilities.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000 per year
The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
