Customer Development Manager

focused on strategic growth initiatives. This individual will be accountable for managing the strategic and operational activities associated with product lines such as Tom?s of Maine, hello, Colgate Kids Oral Care, Trial and Travel, Baby, Holiday, and Oral Care Feature Planning. In this pivotal role, you will oversee managing people and driving over $100MM in Net Sales.

What you will do:

Lead and manage the overall business strategy and execution for our product lines on the Walmart Team with a focus on achieving performance targets

Deliver exceptional project management, fostering an environment where team members are motivated and developed to reach their full potential

Communicate and collaborate effectively across various functions and teams to ensure alignment on goals and strategy

Manage the Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibilities, optimizing performance and ensuring financial objectives are met

Employ an analytical mindset to assess market trends, identify business opportunities, and implement data-driven decisions

Engage with Walmart as our customer to build strong partnerships, understand their needs, and deliver mutually beneficial solutions

Enhancing our Walmart Oral Health Initiatives through dynamic collaboration and innovative development with our Bright Smiles Bright Futures, and Team Smile teams

Foster an inclusive and innovative team atmosphere, promoting a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement

Who you are:

Brand Ambassador : You embody and advocate for the values of hello and Tom?s of Maine, serving as the direct liaison between the Account Team and the Hello & Tom?s Commercial Teams

Connector : With a keen eye on the bigger picture, you identify category opportunities, develop robust customer plans using category and shopper insights, and understand competitor activities to drive customer strategy

Collaborator : You establish and maintain partnerships with internal cross-functional teams, such as supply chain and finance, and the Tom?s & hello Commercial team. Building on mutual trust and integrity, your collaborations aim to achieve results and execute strategies effectively

Innovator : You actively seek improvement and creative solutions. Your adaptability to revisit and adjust strategies, deriving insights through pre and post-evaluation and ROI analyses, is crucial for refining the strategic direction

Curious : Driven by what works and what does not, you collaborate with the Colgate Customer Development team to refine customer tactics and strategies

Basic qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree

8+ years of experience in sales roles or related fields

Proven experience in project management and leading teams in a fast-paced environment

Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop others

Experience in P&L management and a strong analytical skill set

Minimum of 2 years in managing, coaching, and developing people

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Google Sheets, and Slides is essential

Preferred qualifications:

Experience in consumer packaged goods

Excellent communication skills, with a track record of successful cross-functional collaboration

Demonstrated expertise in customer engagement, building and maintaining strong business relationships

A proactive team player with an innovative mindset to drive change and achieve results

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range $106,400.00 - $150,000.00 USD

Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.

Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
