Job Description

We are searching for a mid-level associate to join our Corporate group in our San Diego office. The ideal candidate would have 4+ years of experience with start-ups and emerging growth companies, venture capital financings and mergers & acquisitions.
We are looking for motivated, team-oriented, and collaborative attorneys who are excited about working with clients in the start-up and venture capital ecosystem. Depending on existing experience, your practice at Gunderson would involve a mix of counseling early stage entrepreneurs, representing companies and venture funds in venture financing rounds and M&A, as well as investor-side financing in growth equity rounds. Candidates can expect to manage client relationships and handle the day-to-day needs of clients, and must be comfortable interacting with CEOs, Boards of Directors, and general partners of venture funds. Excellent written and oral communication skills are highly valued.
Preference for candidates already admitted to practice in California.
