Trexquant is a growing systematic fund manager with a core team of highly accomplished technologists. We apply a wide variety of statistical and machine learning techniques to build investment portfolios and trade our client assets in global equity and futures markets.
We are hiring a Contract Manager based in India to manage procurement contracts across our global offices, including the U.S., India, and China. Thispositionwill report to the U.S. office's Legal team.In this role, youwill be responsible for managing, drafting, negotiating, and maintaining a variety of procurementcontractswith vendors, including technology solution providers, hardware suppliers, and professional service providers such as accounting, recruiting, and marketing. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of commercialcontractnegotiation experience, with a comprehensive understandingofU.S.commercialcontractsand corporate procurement processes, and will have the ability toworkindependently and in an international team.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate vendorcontracts, including but not limited to technology (software and hardware), professional services (accounting, recruiting, marketing), data licenseagreements, and other business services.
- Manage thecontractlifecycle, from initial request through execution, includingcontractrenewals, amendments, and terminations.
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand their needs and provide support in commercial negotiation, while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws and regulations.
- Assist with vendor relationship management and serve as the point of contact for vendor-relatedcontractinquiries.
- Support the preparation of reporting, document management, and other record keeping efforts.
- Collaborate with internal departments (Data Research, Finance, IT, and others) to ensure alignment on contractual terms, obligations, and deliverables.
- Stay current on legal and industry trends related to procurement, technologycontracts, and vendor management.
- Maintain and organize a central repository ofcontractsand ensure allcontractsare properly executed, filed, and tracked.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, or a related field.
- Comprehensive understanding ofU.S.contractlaw and experience working with complexcontractterms and negotiations; strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in drafting, negotiating, and managing procurementcontracts, with a focus on technology (hardware/software) and professional services (accounting, recruiting, marketing).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite andcontractmanagement software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working for a U.S. entity, or in the financial services or adjacent industries.
- Previous local or international regulatory compliance relatedworkexperience.
- Familiarity with data licensingagreements.
- Paralegal certification, LLB, LLM, or JD degrees.
