Commercial Collections Manager

Our client, a leader in the financial services industry, will be looking to add a Commercial Collections Manager to their team this year. As a Collections Manager, you will be a working manager in a fast-paced commercial environment responsible for supervising the daily activities of a team of collectors ensuring efficient and effective processing. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, team building, and leadership skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Collections Manager

Location: Hybrid - Downers Grove, IL

Pay Range:

$48-55+/hour depending on experience (W2 basis)

Job Type:

Full Time, 6-month contract to hire

What's the Job?

Oversee daily activities of direct reports on the collections team

Maintain collections on individual portfolio of high-volume accounts

Identify issues with billing, pricing, EDI, etc.; escalate issues as necessary

Negotiate resolution of collection matters with commercial customers and manage customer account balances with and without credit holds

Identify issues contributing to changes in delinquency percentages, run rate, spend levels and operational measurements

What's Needed?

7+ years' of commercial (B2B) collections experience with high-volume, large account sizes

5+ years' of manger experience managing multiple people

Intermediate proficiency Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.)

Strong mentoring/staff development skills

College degree preferred
