Code Enforcement Paralegals

Burke, Williams & Sorensen, LLP is seeking an experienced paralegal to work with its code enforcement team in its Riverside or Los Angeles offices.

The code enforcement team investigates and civilly prosecutes property owners and businesses that have violated building, housing, planning, health or other city and state codes, or who are otherwise misusing their property to endanger public health and safety.

The Paralegal works under the direction of attorneys and provide a wide range of paraprofessional legal support for both pre-litigation investigations and litigation. The position requires excellent verbal and writing skills, knowledge of discovery tools, and an ability to communicate effectively with attorneys, investigators, client city departments and agencies, law enforcement, court personnel, vendors, and diverse property owners.

COMPENSATION

The pay scale for this position ranges from $87K ? $98K plus annual bonuses. The actual salary within that range will depend on the selected candidate's quality and amount of experience. Annual discretionary bonuses, competitive health insurance benefits, and 401(k) with a partial match are offered when individuals are eligible for benefits.
