Job Description

Our CAD Technician will work with an experienced team of engineers, technicians and designers to produce layouts, drawings, and design templates for civil engineering projects in the Water Practice. This is an entry-level position and carries out routine drafting assignments using Autodesk Programs. The CAD Technician works on clearly documented routine tasks and refers more complex issues to CAD senior staff and/or engineers. This position requires enthusiasm, attention to detail, and sound computer skills. The CAD Technician is expected to continuously learn and develop their skills.

Responsibilities:

Provide CAD support to engineering teams to help to develop layouts, drawings, and design templates for civil engineering projects.
Use Autodesk Civil3D and Plant3D programs to produce CAD drawings for engineering designs.
Utilize existing CAD standards, software configuration, user preferences, and tools for Autodesk 2D and 3D platforms. Predominant work classification will be water and wastewater projects.
Maintain client-specific CAD standards and workspace.

Requirements

Associate's Degree or 2 years of experience in a related field
Basic/Introductory understanding of CAD Software, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam PDF
Willingness to learn and attention to detail
Strong communication and provlem solving skills
Flexibility to work overtime as needed
