WE ARE LOOKING FOR a Full Time Market Barista

Job Summary:

We are excited to share that Hyatt Regency Portland has an opportunity for people who love helping people.

Please join our Market team as a Market Barista.

The hourly rate is $20.25/hour (effective February 1, 2025).

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including coffee, tea, and other drinks, according to established recipes and standards.

Operate and manage sales on a Point of Sale (POS) system, handling transactions for beverages, retail, and pre-packaged foods.

Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and ensuring orders are accurate and delivered promptly.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area, including brewing equipment, counters, and seating areas.

Restock supplies, such as coffee beans, syrups, and cups, as needed to ensure smooth operation during peak hours.

Follow health and safety guidelines, including proper food handling and sanitation practices, to maintain a safe environment for customers and staff.

Qualifications:

Qualifications

Previous experience as a barista or in a customer service role preferred.

Must have full availability, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings on weekdays, weekends (Saturdays and Sundays), and holidays.

Familiarity with operating a Point of Sale (POS) system is advantageous.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality beverages and customer experiences.

Ability to lift/push/pull a moderate amount of weight.

Must obtain an OLCC permit and Oregon Food Handlers Card by first day of employment
