Job Summary:

We are excited to share that Hyatt Regency Portland has an opportunity for people who love helping people.

Please join our Banquets team as a Full Time Banquet Captain

The hourly rate is $17.95/hour, plus gratuity.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Making the function space visually appealing

Presenting the menu offering for the event

Preparing linen and table setting, food station design, and beverage service

Overseeing the general banquet preparation, room refreshes, and maintaining a sanitary environment

May assist in scheduling required staff for banquet functions.

Qualifications:

Qualifications

Previous experience as a banquet server or in a similar customer service role preferred.

Open availability during mornings and evenings, including on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Thorough understanding of banquet operations.

Must have full availability, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays during the mornings, afternoons, and evenings.

Must possess an OLCC permit and Oregon Food Handlers Card upon hire.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.

Attention to detail and a dedication to delivering high-quality service.

Capable of lifting/pushing/pulling a moderate amount of weight.
