Job Description
Berliner Cohen?s San Jose Employment Department is seeking an Associate Attorney with 3 + years of labor law and employment litigation experience.
The ideal applicant desires to be a zealous advocate, has counseled clients and litigated wage and hour cases, class action cases, and employment discrimination and wrongful termination matters in California. Familiarity with administrative charges, and be familiar with wage laws, leave and compliance matters (FMLA, ADA, wage and hour), policy development, compliance training, and managing pre-litigation disputes.
The successful candidate will possess a strong academic background, a proven track record of strong performance and measurable results, and exceptional communication, analytical, and writing skills. The candidate must also be a current member of the State Bar of California and in good standing.
An employment attorney with at least three years of experience can reasonably expect to start at $160,000; however, actual compensation will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, the candidate?s qualifications and experience.
Depending on the candidate?s location, we would consider candidates wanting to work in both our San Jose and Modesto offices. Applicants must be willing to travel to client sites, work in multiple counties, and travel between firm offices.
