We are seeking a venerable multi-service law firm headquartered in downtown San Jose, has an immediate opening for a mid-senior-level (4-7 years) Family Law Associate to join our Family Law associate. Candidates should group.
The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in family practicing law in a private firm setting and a demonstrated interest in providing advice and counsel to clients with a broad spectrum of family law issues. Successful candidates will have experience representing clients before judicial officers and in mediations, drafting discovery, drafting motions pleadings, preparing financial disclosures, working with experts, and associated legal documents, and participating in conducting settlement negotiations. Once hired, this This person will collaborate with others in the family law group to achieve the best possible results for our clients.
This position may be based in our Tri-Valley (Pleasanton), Peninsula (San Mateo), or Silicon Valley (downtown San Jose) office. Periodic travel between our offices is necessary, as this associate will work with attorneys in all office locations.

Requirements
- A minimum
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Active membership in the State Bar of 4 California
- 4+ years of substantive family law experience
- Practiced in a private firm with legal experience being responsible for and a demonstrated interest in Family Law
- Demonstrated ability to handle client matters (with supervision) and communicating with clients. (Experience need not be exclusively at a private firm.)
- Prior experience independently identifying and effectively
- Proven ability to collaborate with other attorneys and experts to identify legal issues and anticipating/recommending necessary next steps
- Strong academic credentials plan case strategies
- Excellent written and oral communication skills demonstrated skills, especially in a court setting
- Strong settings
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in all aspects of family law cases, including complex financial issues, custody, and domestic violence.
- Draft pleadings, discovery requests, and other legal documents with precision and factual/investigative research skills

Office Location
This position can be a current member based in any of the State Bar of California.our offices: Silicon Valley (downtown San Jose), Tri-Valley (Pleasanton), or Peninsula (San Mateo). Travel between locations may be necessary.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary range for this position is $170,000 ranges from $175,000 to $200,000. $225,000. This salary range represents reflects the firm?s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will depend upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate?s years of potential compensation, which may vary based on experience, qualifications, and skill set.
