Associate Cybersecurity Engineer

We are looking for an Associate Cybersecurity Engineer to execute cybersecurity tasks across various client and internal projects. You will work closely with developers, DevOps, compliance teams, and leadership to implement secure-by-design practices and ensure compliance with modern security standards.

• Perform security hardening for Linux servers, cloud infrastructure, applications, and APIs.
• Identify vulnerabilities using automated tools and manual techniques.
• Assist in setting up and configuring firewalls, WAFs, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection.
• Implement and manage SIEM, audit logging, and monitoring tools.
• Write scripts (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation of security tasks.
• Support implementation of compliance requirements (SOC 2, ISO 27001).
• Perform risk assessments and document threat models.
• Assist DevOps teams with secrets management and secure CI/CD practices.
• Track security issues, conduct RCA, and coordinate remediation efforts.
• Stay updated with latest vulnerabilities, exploits, and security patches.

Requirements

• 25 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity or information security roles.
• Strong knowledge of network security, cloud security (preferably AWS), and endpoint protection.
• Familiarity with tools like Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, Wireshark, Nessus, Suricata, or similar.
• Good understanding of OWASP Top 10 and secure coding principles.
• Experience with SIEM tools like Splunk, ELK, or Wazuh is a plus.
• Basic scripting experience in Python or Bash.
• Awareness of SOC 2 or ISO 27001 requirements is a bonus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Team player with excellent communication skills.

• Security certifications like CEH, CompTIA Security+, OSCP, or equivalent.
• Experience working in a DevSecOps environment.
• Familiarity with GitHub, GitLab, and CI/CD security best practices.
