POSITION TITLE: ASSISTANT DISTRICT ATTORNEY, DISTRICT 2

STATUS: FULL-TIME, EXEMPT, IMMEDIATE OPENING

CLOSING: OPEN UNTIL FILLED

SALARY: COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

POSITION SUMMARY: DISTRICT 2 is seeking an Assistant District Attorney for the Beckham County Office to perform a variety of professional duties, specifically: prosecution of criminal offenses, including misdemeanors and felonies; handling of juvenile cases, including neglect, delinquency and child in need of supervision cases; providing legal services related to county government operations; and other duties assigned. Specific assignment of duties will vary based on experience.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Experience is not required, will consider newly licensed attorneys and those sitting for the July bar exams. Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school. Admitted to and in good standing with the Oklahoma Bar Association. Preference to live within one of the counties in District 2 (Beckham, Custer, Washita, Roger Mills and Ellis Counties) within a reasonable period of time of employment.
