Job Description

Jefferson Wells is partnering with a Milwaukee, WI Municipality to hire an Accountant on a Contract to Hire basis.

Job Duties:

Prepare the financial statements:

Statement of Net Position, Statement of Revenues, Expense and Changes in Fund Net Position, and Statement of Cash Flows.

Prepare and record Journal Entries.

Process Interdepartmental Requisition Invoices (IRI's) received from other departments, making copies of and filing all IRI's and control group registers processed.

Prepare reports for sundry receivables.

Requirements for the Role:

Accounting Associate or Accounting Bachelor's degree.

Strong organizational skills and an aptitude for working with numbers.

Solid experience working with computers and other application software (Microsoft Office products).

Must be detailed, accurate and organized to ensure proper accounting practices.

Governmental or Grant reporting experience required

Additional information:

1)

Contract to hire.

2)

Hopefully, the contract will be less than 6 months and I?ll be able to hire the person.

3)

8 hours/day ? Mon-Fri

4)

ONSITE:

Working in the office.

Downtown Milwaukee
