We are looking for a physically fit warehouse driver to handle time-sensitive delivery tasks. The warehouse driver will review assigned route sheets, gather the necessary merchandise, and load it into the delivery vehicle. They will then transport the orders to our customers.
In order to be successful as a warehouse driver, it is important to be familiar with weight restrictions for vehicles. A great warehouse driver will also communicate with customers about any expected delays.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Reviewing route sheets to determine daily delivery goals
- Suggesting changes to route sheets when necessary
- Checking invoices to ensure all stock is accounted for
- Loading merchandise in an organized manner for easy access
- Transporting merchandise to customers
- Collecting defective or unsuitable products
- Working with Drivers' Assistants to unload stock
- Providing customers with dated delivery notes
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Previous experience as a warehouse driver
- Commercial driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Knowledge of vehicle weight restrictions
- Strong coordination skills
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
