We are looking for a compassionate veterinary assistant to join our team and assist with nursing and other tasks. The veterinary assistant will educate clients about pet health, make sure our patients are safe and comfortable, and ensure that they receive consistent care. You will work with other team members to create a positive and comfortable environment for our patients. It is important that you provide professional and efficient service at all times.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Keeping treatment and examination rooms, as well as other areas of the hospital, clean and organized
- Sterilizing equipment
- Making sure clients and their pets are comfortable in the waiting area
- Caring for hospitalized patients and keeping their cages clean
- Handling difficult or aggressive patients safely and appropriately
- Assisting with giving medication, drawing blood, and cleaning teeth
- Performing diagnostic imaging and laboratory tests
- Communicating with veterinarians and veterinary technicians to ensure consistent care for patients
- Following all hospital rules, regulations, and policies
- Maintaining accurate medical records
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- NAVTA-approved certification as a veterinary assistant
- Passion for working with animals
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong people skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Physical strength and dexterity, and ability to stand for long periods of time
- Availability to work on weekends
