Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Schedule drivers for deliveries and pickups of freight, shipments, and packages.
- Communicate with customers to understand their shipping requirements and any special requests.
- Plan and adjust routes to accommodate changes or unexpected events.
- Prepare dispatch documents, freight bills, and invoices.
- Maintain records of dispatched calls, driver routes, and delivery and pickup times.
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and laws.

- Record customer shipping schedules and address any complaints.
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A degree in transportation or logistics is a plus.
- 2-3 years of experience as a truck dispatcher in a similar industry.
- Strong ability to schedule drivers, plan routes, and communicate effectively.
- Experience in customer service and generating freight bills and invoices.
- Familiarity with Transportation Management Software (TMS), such as Samsara and Rose Rocket.
