Job Description

We are looking for a professional and dependable dispatcher to be the first point of contact for emergency and nonemergency calls at our company. This role involves managing call logs, monitoring routes, transferring messages, and directing field units.

To be successful in this position, candidates should be able to handle multiple tasks in stressful situations with minimal supervision. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are also important qualities for this role.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Answer emergency and nonemergency calls and document important information
  • Address any issues by coordinating with relevant departments or field units
  • Operate and manage a multi-line telephone console system
  • Respond to inquiries about products and deliveries
  • Use communication tools (e.g. radio, phone, computer) to direct field units to appropriate locations
  • Prioritize and organize calls based on urgency
  • Supervise the routes and status of field units to prioritize their daily schedule
  • Maintain and update call logs, records, and other important documents

Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of emergency procedures and protocols
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and data entry
  • Ability to work well under pressure
