What does a Quality Analyst do?

A Quality Analyst, also known as a Quality Assurance Analyst, is responsible for evaluating products, systems, and software to make sure they meet the organization's quality standards and are free of defects.

Job Description

We are looking for a creative and experienced Quality Analyst to join our team. You will be in charge of planning, designing, and executing test plans, test scripts, and process plans for projects. Working closely with different departments, you will conduct and validate test cases according to quality requirements and suggest changes to meet predetermined quality guidelines. Your main goal will be to ensure that the final product meets the minimum quality standards, is fully functional, and user-friendly.

To be successful as a Quality Analyst, you should have a strong attention to detail, as well as analytical and problem-solving abilities. You must be able to interpret and implement quality assurance standards and provide accurate and comprehensive feedback to your colleagues.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute test plans to meet all goals.
  • Implement and monitor test scripts to assess functionality, reliability, performance, and quality of the product or service.
  • Identify and fix defects in the production process.
  • Suggest, implement, and monitor preventative and corrective actions to maintain quality assurance standards.
  • Collect and analyze statistical data.
  • Make sure that user expectations are met during the testing process.
  • Create quality assurance policies and procedures.
  • Investigate customer complaints and product issues.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
  • Experience in quality inspection, auditing, and testing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computers and knowledge of QA databases and applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
