We are looking for a detail-oriented loan officer to join our team. In this job, you will help people and businesses get loans from our financial institution. Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Meet with loan applicants to get information and help them fill out applications.
- Look at current loan files and suggest ways to speed up the loan process.
- Explain our policies and rules to clients and sign loan contracts with them.
- Talk to applicants to find out if they are eligible for a loan and help them make a plan to pay it back.
- Keep track of loan records and update them when needed.
- Submit loan applications in a timely manner.
- Create detailed loan proposals.
- Reject loan applications and explain why to the applicants.
- Answer questions and solve problems related to loans.
- Follow all laws and rules related to loans.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A degree in finance or a similar field.
- At least 3 years of experience as a loan officer.
- Good understanding of local, state, and national loan laws.
- Knowledge of computers and banking software.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Great customer service and sales skills.
