Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated kitchen assistant to help with ingredient preparation and perform all cleaning and washing duties in our kitchen. This includes helping with inventory control, taking out the trash, cleaning garbage bins, and organizing refrigerators, freezers, and storage areas. The kitchen assistant should also keep track of any food waste, such as uneaten leftovers from customers.

To excel in this role, the kitchen assistant should have excellent time management skills and complete all tasks efficiently. They should also follow food health and safety regulations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize food preparation areas according to hygiene standards.
  • Wash and properly store cooking appliances, utensils, and dishes.
  • Assist the cook with preparing ingredients by washing, cleaning, peeling, cutting, and chopping food items.
  • Mop and sweep kitchen floors and wipe down walls.
  • Help unload food supplies when they are delivered.
  • Organize and store food supplies correctly.
  • Follow the cook's instructions when transferring ingredients from storage to the kitchen.
  • Heat and stir soups and sauces and make hot beverages.

Requirements and Qualifications
