We are looking for an experienced Immigration Paralegal to join our team. Your responsibilities will include preparing visa applications, managing case intake, and keeping track of immigration cases. You will report to the Immigration Program Manager.

To be successful as an immigration paralegal, you should have experience working with a licensed attorney and knowledge of immigration applications. The best immigration paralegals are team players who provide excellent support to immigration attorneys.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Report to the Immigration Program Manager.
  • Collaborate with Regional Paralegal Manager and immigration attorneys.
  • Manage cases from intake to filing.
  • Prepare visa applications and other immigration documents.
  • Process and file visa petitions.
  • Organize petition packets for review and filing.
  • Gather information from external parties.
  • Keep clients updated on the status of their cases.
  • Maintain physical and digital case files.
  • Respond to immigration inquiries in a timely manner.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or post-secondary program with law-related coursework.
  • State-approved accredited paralegal certification.
  • 2 years of experience working with a licensed attorney.
  • Ability to work with immigration attorneys and paralegal managers.
  • Extensive knowledge of visa and permanent residency applications.
  • Experience preparing petition packages.
  • Ability to manage immigration inquiries and keep clients informed.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology and immigration database software.
  • Excellent recordkeeping and communication skills.
