What does a Front Desk Agent do?

A front desk agent is someone who helps guests check in and out of hotels, motels, and resorts. This includes making sure their registration information is correct, taking payment, giving them room keys, and showing them to their rooms.

Job Description

We are looking for a friendly and energetic front desk agent to help us with checking guests in and out of our hotel. You will also assist guests with any questions, issues, or complaints they may have. It will be your responsibility to take payments from guests and count the money at the end of your shift. You should know the layout of the hotel, be aware of different prices and special offers, understand how the restaurant works so you can help guests make reservations and give recommendations, and know how to use the phone system. You will also make sure guests return their room keys when they leave.

To be successful in this position, you should be professional and kind even in difficult situations, and make sure guests are happy from the moment they arrive until they leave. We prefer candidates who are positive, proactive, and good at doing many things at once.

  • Help the reservations manager make reservations.
  • Work well and communicate with other employees to make sure guests are happy.
  • Follow company rules and safety policies.
